As an accepted presenter at the 2023 ACC-RAC, you are eligible to participate in the NBCE Paper Award Competition. Only research studies that have not yet been submitted to a journal or published elsewhere will be allowed to enter this awards competition.  Winning research studies will be submitted to either the Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics (for basic science, clinical, or public health topics) or the Journal of Chiropractic Education (for education topics) and must be published in either JMPT or JCE to receive the award. This competition is not compulsory, and this invitation may be declined by the authors. To participate in the competition the presenter must 1) be registered for the conference and 2) complete this electronic entry by March 1, 2023.

INSTRUCTIONS
To participate in this award competition, complete the following 2 items.
1.     Upload one Word file that contains:
          a.     Cover page. Include author information (name, degrees, affiliations), and that the paper is original and has not been submitted or published elsewhere.
          b.     The abstract that has been accepted for presentation. You may keep your abstract in its current form at 195 words or fewer, or you may expand your abstract to more than 195 words (no word limit). The expanded word count will help the award committee select the most deserving works for the awards. You may expand your abstract to include: an introduction/ background, additional methods, additional results, discussion, limitations, conclusion, and references. You may also Include figures and tables at the end of the file if you wish, but this is not required.
2.     Signed intent form.

AWARD-WINNING PAPERS

Selected abstracts will be announced at the 2023 ACC-RAC conference. After the announcement, the authors shall submit their completed manuscript materials to the relevant journal (Journal of Chiropractic Education or Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics) within 1 month of the award announcement. The manuscript will go through peer review, and the authors must make any required revisions before acceptance. Only accepted and published papers will receive the prize. Prize-winning papers will be designated as free access, a value of approximately US$3000.  Both the Journal of Chiropractic Education and the Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics are international journals and are indexed in PubMed and Scopus. The cash award of US$1000 and award certificate will be sent to the corresponding author upon proof of the paper having “in press” status.
